NEP SAARTHI
Guiding the Reform.
Saarthi means charioteer — the one who steers, not just rides along. MGIT's Student Ambassadors for the National Education Policy 2020 do the same for academic reform on this campus.
Reform needs a voice on the ground.
NEP 2020 is implemented through coordination across regulators, state governments and institutions — but UGC built the SAARTHI programme on the belief that none of it lands without students carrying it into their own classrooms and hostels. Nominated under Clauses 3–5 of the UGC guidelines, MGIT's SAARTHIs run that last mile on campus.
Build awareness
Introduce NEP 2020's reforms to students in plain, campus-relevant terms.
Drive participation

Close the loop
Feed student experience back to UGC so the policy's rollout can be corrected as it goes.
Eight spokes, one wheel
Everything a SAARTHI is asked to do, in eight parts.
Ambassador
Represent and promote NEP 2020 on campus.
