Controller of Examinations (CoE)

Examinations Cell (Confidential) headed by Controller of Examinations (CoE) was created in 2021, after MGIT was conferred with the Autonomous Status by UGC for a period of Ten years. Examinations Cell deals with all activities which include Examinations, Declaration of Results, etc. related to Autonomous Batches.

Examination and Evaluation Procedure:

MR-21 Regulations:

The performance of a student in every course will be evaluated for 100 marks each, with 30 marks allotted for Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE) and 70 marks for Semester End Examination (SEE).

Continuous Internal Evaluation is conducted twice in a semester. The average of two CIEs shall be taken as final marks secured by the student in Continuous Internal Evaluation.

Semester End Examination is for 3 hours duration. The question papers are prepared by the external examiners and the evaluation of the answer scripts is carried out by the external examiners.

For practical courses, there shall be a Continuous Internal Evaluation during the semester for 30 marks and 70 marks for Semester End Examination.

The results will be declared by the college in online mode, after due approval by the Examinations and Results Committee of the Institute and the University. The students will have an option to apply for Recounting /Revaluation (RC/RV) and for Challenge Valuation.
