About the Programme

The NEP SAARTHI Cell of Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology organised a group discussion on “NEP 2020” on 26 September 2025, following instructions received from UGC–NEP SAARTHI, New Delhi. The programme was conducted from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM in the ELCS Lab, A-Block.

Students from different engineering branches actively participated in the discussion and shared their views on the objectives, opportunities and major reforms introduced through the National Education Policy 2020.

The activity encouraged students to understand important aspects of NEP 2020, including multidisciplinary education, flexible learning, skill development, innovation and the holistic development of learners.

Faculty members guided the discussion and encouraged participants to express their opinions, listen to different perspectives and develop a better understanding of the policy’s impact on higher education.

Photographs in the programme report show faculty and students participating in separate discussion groups, while the attendance record documents student participation from multiple departments.

The discussion also improved students’ communication, teamwork, analytical thinking and public-speaking abilities.
