About MGIT

Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT), established in 1997 by the Chaitanya Bharathi Educational Society (CBES), has grown into one of the top engineering institutions in Telangana. About the IT Department

The Department of Information Technology was founded in 1997 with an annual intake of 60 students. Today, it is staffed with highly qualified faculty including 6 Ph.D. holders and 10 pursuing their Ph.D. The department offers cutting-edge labs and learning in emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Data Analytics, and Open-Source Technologies. Students actively engage in innovation clubs, research projects, workshops, and professional chapters like ASME, ISTE, and IEEE.

Purpose of the Workshop

The workshop aims to empower engineering students with hands-on, real-world GenAI experience by guiding them through AI systems, workflows, and automation projects that are directly aligned with high-demand industry roles and certifications.

Objectives

  • Equip participants with project-ready skills in GenAI, RPA, and Automation.
  • Guide students in completing end-to-end industry-grade AI projects.
  • Prepare participants for international certifications (IBM, Microsoft, Databricks, UiPath).
  • Promote cross-domain applications in Computer Vision, NLP, Voice AI, and Quantum Computing.
  • Build confidence in no-code platforms, real-world deployments, and full-stack integration.

  • Build and deploy a real-time AI-driven Notification System.
  • Implement Cloud + API + No-Code integrated systems.
  • Gain hands-on experience with deep NLP and DL pipelines.
  • Develop real-time computer vision applications.
  • Work on a Teachable Machine classification project.
  • Acquire expertise in facial recognition & emotion detection.
  • Explore IoT and wearable device integration.
