About the Programme

Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology organised an NEP SAARTHI Programme on Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) during April 2026. The programme was conducted as part of the institution’s initiatives to create awareness about the objectives of the National Education Policy 2020 and the importance of incorporating Indian Knowledge Systems into contemporary education.

The programme began with a full rendition of Vande Mataram, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the guest speaker and institutional dignitaries.

The Vice Principal addressed the gathering and explained the significance of Indian Knowledge Systems. The NEP Coordinator provided an overview of NEP 2020 and highlighted its major educational objectives.

Student NEP SAARTHIs actively participated in conducting the programme. Shivani introduced the guest speaker, while Kripa Takur delivered the welcome address.

The Principal addressed the participants and spoke about the importance of the National Education Policy in promoting multidisciplinary education, cultural understanding and holistic learning.

The guest speaker, Prof. Mrunalini, delivered an informative lecture on Indian Knowledge Systems, highlighting their relevance and contribution to education and society.

The programme received coverage in newspapers published in Hyderabad.
