About the Workshop

Drones are reshaping how the world works, from precision agriculture and infrastructure inspection to logistics, mapping and disaster response. To give students a real head start in this fast-growing field, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT), Hyderabad, is organising a 2 Day Drone Technology Workshop on 28 and 29 September 2026.

Led by industry trainer Mr. P. Srinivas Reddy of Euphostraaa Systems LLP, this intensive hands-on workshop takes participants through the complete drone-building journey. Students will explore drone sensors and components, assemble a drone from real parts, calibrate and configure its flight systems, and finally take it to the sky in a live flight demonstration. Come curious, leave with the skills to build and fly.

What You Will Learn

🔧 Hands-on Practice
Work directly with real drone components and equipment.

📡 Sensors & Components
Understand flight controllers, motors, sensors and how they work together.

⚙️ Assembly & Configuration
Build a working drone and calibrate its flight systems step by step.

🚁 Live Flight Demonstration
Operate the drone you configured in a guided flight session.

🏭 Industry-oriented UAV Knowledge
Learn how UAVs are used across industries today.

🎓 Certification
Receive a participation certificate on completion.

Participant Guidelines

The Inaugural Session and Basic Training Session will be held in B-401 at 9:00 AM.
The Drone Building and Assembly Workshop will be conducted in B-404.
Bring your laptop. Download all required files as instructed and come prepared so you do not fall behind.
You may bring a small mat to sit comfortably during the drone building and assembly activities.
Lunch break: 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM only.
Attendance is compulsory and will be forwarded to the respective class teachers.
Be punctual, interact actively with the trainers and participate enthusiastically.
