First-Year B.Tech Student Orientation Program 2025–26

Event Overview

The Orientation Program marks the beginning of the academic journey for all B.Tech students admitted under Convener quota and B-Category into the First Year of MGIT for the Academic Year 2025–2026.
This event will familiarize students and parents with:

• MGIT’s values and vision
• Academic rules, regulations, and facilities
• Faculty introductions and key resources
• Departmental and career guidance opportunities

Program Schedule

• 9:30 AM onwards – Inaugural Session (Main Campus Auditorium)
  • Welcome address by Principal
  • Introduction to MGIT and its vision
  • Overview of academic rules, regulations, and facilities
  • Interaction with key academic and administrative heads
• 12:30 PM – 01:30 PM – Lunch Break (Students & Parents)
• 01:30 PM onwards – Departmental Sessions
  • Interaction with Heads of Departments (HoDs)
  • Department-specific introduction and guidance
  • Tour of laboratories & departmental activities
  • Orientation on career pathways and mentoring support
  • Student Induction Programme (SIP)
  • All newly admitted students are required to attend the

Student Induction Programme (SIP) from 21st – 23rd August 2025 at MGIT Campus.
The SIP helps students:

• Adapt smoothly to the academic environment
• Build connections with peers and faculty
• Grow holistically through academic and extracurricular activities
