About the Event:

Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT), Hyderabad, is organizing the
Internal Hackathon for Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026 on
12 September 2026.

The Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026 Problem Statements have been officially released.
Interested students are invited to form eligible teams, carefully review the available problem statements,
and select a suitable challenge based on their technical skills, domain knowledge, and ability to develop
an innovative and practically feasible solution.

Participating teams are expected to thoroughly understand their selected problem statement and prepare
the solution idea, proposed methodology, system architecture, technology stack, innovation,
feasibility, and prototype.

Teams must prepare their presentation using the official SIH 2026 Idea Presentation PPT format.
The quality of the idea, innovation, technical approach, feasibility, prototype, and presentation will be
important for further participation in Smart India Hackathon 2026.

Venue: Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT), Hyderabad

Event Guidelines:

1. Each team must consist of 6 members, including at least one female member.
2. All team members must be current students of MGIT.
3. A student can be part of only one team. Duplicate participation may lead to disqualification.
4. Teams must carefully finalize their Team Name. Once submitted, the Team Name cannot be changed.
5. Only the Team Leader should submit the registration form on behalf of the complete team.
6. Correct roll numbers, institute email IDs, and mobile numbers of all team members must be entered.
7. Teams must carefully review the officially released SIH 2026 Problem Statements before making their selection.
8. The selected problem statement should match the team’s
   technical skills, domain knowledge, and ability to develop a practical solution.
9. Teams must verify the Problem Statement ID (PS ID), Problem Statement Title, Organization,
   Category, and Theme before finalizing their selection.
10. Teams should thoroughly understand the selected problem statement and prepare the
    solution idea, proposed methodology, system architecture, technology stack, innovation,
    feasibility, and prototype.
11. The presentation must be prepared using the official SIH 2026 Idea Presentation PPT format.
12. The prescribed PPT structure should be followed without unnecessary changes.
13. The presentation should be clear, technical, innovative, and focused on the selected problem statement.
14. Students must use their MGIT college email ID while submitting the team registration form.

Current students of Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT) interested in participating in
Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026.
