News Date : 20 Feb 2026     News Report

The Industry Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC), in collaboration with the Department of Emerging Technologies at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology, organized a hands-on training session on 20 February 2026 on the topic “How to Vibecode the Portfolio using Antigravity for Sustainability.” The session was conducted by Mr. B. Subhash, Data Analyst and Product Associate at Codebasics.io, from 10:15 A.M. to 12:15 P.M. as part of the IIPC activities. Students and faculty members of the institute actively participated in the program.

Dr. G. ChandraMohan Reddy, Principal, motivated the students to focus on state-of-the-art domains and encouraged them to build expertise in emerging technologies to enhance their career prospects.

Dr. M. RamaBai, Head of the Department of Emerging Technologies, briefed students of CSM and CSD about the scope and relevance of vibecoding and AI-driven portfolio development in the evolving technology landscape.

During the session, Mr. Subhash explained that vibecoding a portfolio using Google Antigravity involves utilizing AI-driven, agentic workflows to develop full-stack, animated, and interactive web portfolios with minimal manual coding. He elaborated on the three-layer architecture—Directive, Orchestration, and Execution—which enables efficient conversion of ideas into functional applications. He also emphasized sustainability through optimized, clean, and efficient code generation practices. The resource person demonstrated all stages involved in building a professional portfolio using Antigravity.

Mr. Ch. Shiva Krishna, Member, IIPC, Department of Emerging Technologies, summarized the session and highlighted its significance for students.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. P. Chandra Sekhar, Convenor, IIPC, who expressed gratitude to the resource person and participants.

The session provided valuable exposure to AI-assisted development techniques and reinforced MGIT’s commitment to fostering industry-academia collaboration and equipping students with skills in emerging technologies.
