MGIT Career Development Cell Successfully Organizes Insightful Guest Lectures on 28th September 2024

The Career Development Cell (CDC) at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT) successfully hosted a series of thought-provoking guest lectures on 28th September 2024, providing valuable insights for both faculty and students. The event, held across A-Block Auditorium and D-108, ran from 9:30 AM to 12:15 PM and featured esteemed speakers discussing critical topics in the fields of cognitive sciences and personal empowerment.

One of the highlights was the lecture on “Research Projects Undertaken by DRDO in Cognitive Sciences” presented by Dr. Sushil Chandra, Associate Director (Retd.), INMAS, DRDO, Delhi. This session captivated the audience, comprising faculty members from ET, CSE, and IT branches, with cutting-edge research insights from the DRDO’s advancements in cognitive sciences. The interactive discussion took place in D-108 from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM, where faculty members gained a deeper understanding of the practical applications of cognitive science research in defense technology.

In parallel, a powerful session on “Role of Meditation in Self Empowerment” was led by BK Shrikant, National Coordinator of SpARC, a research wing of the Brahma Kumaris. Addressing 3rd-year students of the CSD branch, BK Shrikant highlighted the transformative impact of meditation on mental health and personal development. The session, held in the Auditorium from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM, provided students with valuable techniques to harness their inner potential through mindfulness and meditation.

The guest lectures were well-received by the participants, who expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to engage with experts in these diverse fields. The CDC at MGIT remains committed to organizing such events that broaden the intellectual horizons of both students and faculty.
