MGIT Conducts Faculty Development Program on Innovative Teaching Techniques for Quality Enhancement

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT) successfully organized a one-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on the theme “Empowering Educators: Innovative Facilitation Techniques for Quality Enhancement” on April 4, 2026, at the A-Block Auditorium.

The program commenced with an inaugural address by Prof. P. Ram Kishore Kumar Reddy, Director, IQAC, who highlighted the institution’s ongoing quality initiatives and the importance of continuous academic improvement. This was followed by a technical session delivered by Prof. K. Sudhakar Reddy, Vice Principal and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, who emphasized the significance of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) in engineering education and its role in enhancing student competencies.

Principal Prof. G. Chandramohan Reddy addressed the gathering and underscored the necessity for faculty to engage in continuous professional development to keep pace with evolving educational methodologies and industry demands.

The second session was led by Prof. (Dr.) K. Karunakaran, Former Vice Chancellor, who elaborated on the evolving role of educators as facilitators. He stressed the adoption of innovative, student-centric teaching strategies to improve learning outcomes and foster critical thinking among students.

The FDP witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members across various departments. The program concluded on a successful note, receiving positive feedback from participants for its insightful sessions and practical relevance.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. S. Madhava Reddy, Additional Director, IQAC, who expressed gratitude to the speaker, management, principal, vice principal, directors, heads of departments, and faculty members for their support and active participation.
