MGIT Hosts Seminar on Mental Health and Well-being

Hyderabad, March 23, 2026: The Student Affairs & Academic Progression (SA&AP) cell of Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT), Hyderabad, organized an impactful seminar on “Mental Health and Well-being” to highlight the growing importance of psychological fitness among students.

The event was conducted in collaboration with Student Tribe, Hyderabad, and witnessed active participation from a large number of students. The seminar featured Dr. Lisa Fahey OAM, an Australia-based Founder and CEO, along with her associates, as keynote speakers.

Dr. Fahey delivered an insightful session addressing the challenges faced by students in today’s fast-paced and demanding world. She focused on practical strategies to manage stress, build emotional resilience, and maintain mental fitness. Her talk emphasized the need for proactive self-care and adapting to evolving global pressures with a balanced mindset.

The seminar concluded with an engaging interactive Q&A session, where students raised questions related to work-life balance, stress management, and sustaining mental well-being in high-pressure academic and professional environments.

The event was attended by the Principal, Prof. G. ChandraMohar Reddy, Vice-Principal Prof. K. Sudhakar Reddy, Director of SA&AP Prof. V.V.N. Satya Suresh, along with faculty members, reflecting the institution’s commitment to student welfare and holistic development.
