The Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (MME) is proud to celebrate a remarkable achievement by one of its most distinguished alumni.
Mr. P. Vikranth Rao, a 2008 graduate of the Department, currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of M/s. Sentinel Steel, Ethiopia — one of the most reputed names in the steel industry. Mr. Vikranth was honoured with an invitation to be part of a panel of the world’s leading steel industry figures at the East Africa Steel Summit 2026, held on 07 July 2026.
This recognition is a testament to his expertise, leadership, and the strong foundation built during his time at the Department.
