IQAC MGIT Conducts One-Day Faculty Development Programme on Innovative Facilitation Techniques

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT), Kokapet, Hyderabad, organized a One-Day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled “Empowering Educators: Innovative Facilitation Techniques for Quality Enhancement” on Saturday, 4th April 2026, at the college premises.

The programme commenced with an address by the IQAC Coordinator, who spoke about ongoing IQAC initiatives and introduced the first resource person.

Technical Session-I was delivered by Prof. K. Sudhakar Reddy, Vice Principal and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, on the topic “About the Importance of Outcome Based Education in Engineering.” The session offered faculty valuable insights into aligning teaching-learning practices with outcome-based education (OBE) frameworks.

Following a tea break, Prof. G. ChandraMohan Reddy, Principal, MGIT, addressed the gathering and introduced the second resource person of the day.

Technical Session-II, the highlight of the programme, was conducted by Prof. (Dr.) K. Karunakaran, Former Vice Chancellor, Mohan Babu University, on the topic “Be a Facilitator to Improve Student Learning Outcomes.” The extended session provided faculty with practical strategies to enhance classroom facilitation and improve student learning outcomes.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by the Co-Coordinator, IQAC.

The FDP saw active participation from faculty members across departments and reaffirmed MGIT’s continued commitment to quality enhancement in teaching and learning.
