Industrial visit offers first-hand exposure to electronic warfare systems, defence electronics production, and quality assurance

Hyderabad, 27th October 2026: The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), in association with the Training and Placement Office (TPO), Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT), organised an industrial visit to Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Hyderabad, for students of ECE and MCT.

During the visit, students were introduced to BEL’s work in electronic warfare systems and observed the production of defence electronics. They also gained insight into laboratory testing procedures and the quality assurance practices that ensure the reliability of defence equipment.

The visit gave students practical exposure to how communication systems and electronics are applied in advanced defence technologies, helping them connect concepts learned in the classroom with real-world engineering practice.

The students were accompanied by Mr. D. Anji Reddy, Assistant Professor, Department of ECE, and Dr. B. Ramakrishna, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering.

Such industrial visits bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practice, encouraging students to explore emerging technologies and career opportunities in the defence sector. The Department of ECE and the TPO thanked the management and staff of BEL, Hyderabad for hosting the students.
