MGIT hosts a One Day Seminar on the Significance of Vedic Mathematics in STEM

The Department of Mathematics and Humanities (M&H) at MGIT conducted a one day seminar on the significance of Vedic Mathematics in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) on April 6th, 2023, at the A-Block auditorium. The guest lecture featured Prof. G Suresh Babu, a renowned speaker and professor at the Department of EEE, CBIT, who delivered an enlightening talk on the importance of Vedic Mathematics in today’s technology-driven world.

Prof. Babu made the session interactive and engaging, sharing practical examples of solving complex mathematical problems with smart and simple solutions. He also conducted square puzzles, making the session participatory and enjoyable for all the participants, including the faculty and students.

Towards the end of the programme, Prof. G. ChandraMohan Reddy felicitated the guest speaker with Shaal and appreciated him for his valuable time and enlightening lecture. Dr. Harileela, Associate Professor, Dept. of M&H presented a bouquet, and Dr. K. Srihari, Assistant Professor, Dept. of M&H handed over a memento to the guest as a token of respect.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. K. Srihari, the coordinator of the programme. The Department of M&H thanks the college management, the Principal, and the Head of the department for their continuous support in conducting the guest lecture. The seminar was a great success, and the students and faculty alike were impressed with the insights shared by the guest speaker.
