MGIT Signs MoU with Actoryx Technologies and Inaugurates Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence

Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT), Hyderabad, reached a significant milestone today as the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Actoryx Technologies Pvt. Ltd., R&D Center, Technology Incubation Park (TIP), IIT Hyderabad, and inaugurated a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Artificial Intelligence on campus.

The collaboration is designed to strengthen industry–academia ties and give students direct access to AI-based learning, hands-on innovation, research opportunities, and industry-oriented skill development. Through the CoE, students and faculty will work on real-world AI projects, take part in specialised training programmes, and gain exposure to current industry practices in one of the fastest-growing areas of technology.

The MoU signing and inauguration ceremony was attended by members of the Management, the Principal, faculty members, representatives of Actoryx Technologies, and students of the Department of EEE. Students showed keen enthusiasm for the initiative and the learning opportunities it opens in emerging technologies.

Key Objectives of the Centre of Excellence

The MGIT management congratulated the Department of EEE, the Actoryx team, and everyone involved in making this initiative a success, and expressed confidence that the CoE will produce impactful projects, research outcomes, and industry-ready engineers.
